Scientific Russian is, first of all, Russian. This textbook is designed to prepare a non-Russian reader with the grammatical tools to understand Russian as applied to subject matter in various sciences. The lessons are designed to maintain the closest possible connection between translation practice and grammatical theory. Upon completion of the lessons, students should be able to translate the type of Russian scientific literature in which they are interested.
