Certificate of filing in the Recorder's office, Newton County, Missouri, dated December 15, 1906 and signed by A.J. Thomas, pasted to certificate signed by Groff.
	"This patent is recorded, in the General Land Office at Washington, as the first patent under the Act of Congress, in Book Vol. No. 1 at page 312."--Holograph note pasted to inside front cover.
