Summary
"William Boyce wrote these two anthems in 1760 and 1761, at the height of his career. Both are scored for large chorus and orchestra. The King Shall Rejoice was written for the wedding of Queen Charlotte and George III on 8 September 1761. It was also adapted for performance on two other occasions, including the coronation of Charlotte and George." -- Provided by publisher.
