Summary |
Atomic war bride is the cut, pan-and-scanned & dubbed version of the Yugoslavian film Rat (War); A young couple's wedding is interupted by an air raid as their unnamed country goes to war, and they decide to go to the President and plead for peace as their leader announces an atomic strike against their enemy. This is not a test had a limited release in 1961. An atomic war has started, cities are emptying under martial law and a local sheriff gets word to halt all vehicles at his town's mountain pass. The group of citizens that gathers at the road block create a makeshift bomb shelter, and then fight amongst themselves. These features are accompanied by short films, most of which date from the time period when the positive aspects of the nuclear age were being emphasized. |
