Summary |
In this 1965 program, Walter Cronkite investigates the controversy surrounding abortion. Recipients of illegal abortions share their traumatic stories, while leaders from the fields of law, medicine, and religion persuasively argue their points of view on an issue that is still contested today. Abortion procedures of the period, including the risks and consequences associated with them; abortion laws in the U.S. and abroad; and the parameters for therapeutic abortions are considered as well. |
