Summary
The Federal Select Agent Program "regulates the possession, use, and transfer of biological select agents and toxins that have the potential to pose a severe threat to public, animal or plant health, or to animal or plant products". FSAP is jointly managed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Select Agents and Toxins and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Agriculture Select Agent Services. This archived website includes information about the special agents and toxins that they oversee, compliance instructions and guidance for businesses, legislation, regulatory & policy statements, forms, training opportunities, publications and reports. Access is provided to the password-restricted electronic portal eFSAP, as well as documentation for eFSAP users
