Summary |
Instead of asking what culture is, the book focuses on the question of the functionality of culture. The theory of world society (Luhmann) as a starting point necessitates a change of perspective in dealing with questions of foreignness in the global world and proves to be beneficial for dealing with educational challenges. In addition to metatheoretical considerations, the topic of interculture in everyday discourse is explored by students. The book shows how a way of dealing with global society is located in the reconstruction of the students' action orientation. |
