Traditional cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) techniques have suffered from a number of disadvantages including haemodilution, inflammation and post-operative bleeding. This book focuses on the issues of the equipment developed for mini-CPB, optimal myocardial protection protocols and CPB perfusate options.
