Fed up with the crime, alcoholism and drugs all round him, an Indian policeman turns avenger. The protagonist is Rudy Yellow Shirt, a Sioux, and the setting is the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota where Crazy Horse, "the last free Indian" fought and died.
