| Summary |
Living in the fictional floating island of Cloud Town situated next to a rip in the multiverse where monsters attack, best friends Pen and Olive are forced to move to a new school when theirs is destroyed by a monster. The friends help each other survive their high school's minefield, with Pen protecting shy, anxious Olive from the mean kids and Olive helping Pen stay on top of her schoolwork. Their close friendship begins to fracture when problems in their personal lives get in the way and an encounter with a monster leads to Olive being branded a hero. As the friends try to work through the changes going on in their lives, they also are forced to confront their future as friends. |
