Summary Sculptor, painter, printmaker, and college teacher, Larry Pogue was raised in St. Louis, MO and then moved to Anderson, MO, in McDonald county. He married Suzon Cotter from Wyandotte, OK and moved to Washington, MO and started teaching at East Central College in Union, MO between 1969 and 1999. (7 miles from Washington.) Pogue did many residential sculptures but his favorites were corporate works of art such as St. Francis hospital's "Tree of Life" (copper) in Washington and St. John's hospital in St. Louis, "Hold Your Face Up to the Light" (stainless steel, 11ft. tall and 2,000 lb. kinetic on granite base.) Central Institute for the Deaf at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis and St. Clare SSM Hospital, Fenton, MO, "Trinity" (17 ft. tall, stainless steel, kinetic) and many others. Pogue has sculptures from California to New York, Chicago to New Orleans and in Zurich Switzerland and Scotland.
