Edited by John E. Hall, the American law journal and miscellaneous repertory was one of the earliest and most notable of American legal periodicals. It dealt with various aspects of law, publishing accounts of cases in Maryland courts and other U.S. courts, including Supreme court decisions; information on important laws of various states, particularly the laws of Maryland; and essays on legal and commercial subjects; in addition to sketches of parliamentary and congressional debates, biographical sketches, and notices of new publications on law, commerce, and politics. |
