"Operative Techniques in Colorectal Surgery is a new, comprehensive text/atlas of procedures and techniques for colorectal fellows, practitioners, and general surgeons. It graphically depicts procedures in a consistent format that is composed of concise bulleted text, full color illustrations, and full color instraoperative photography. Photographs are frequently paired with illustrations for a more complete view of steps and techniques in the procedures. Coverage is extensive, including encyclopedic reviews of small intestine procedures, appendectomies, hemicoloectomies, rectal resections, abdominoperineal resections, restorative proctocolectomies, colostomies, and anal surgery. Each procedure briefly covers intraoperative considerations before stepping through each technique. Techniques are lavishly illustrated in full color. All currently used open and minimally invasive procedures are reviewed.
