Summary |
A documentary on Marjoe Gortner, who was trained by his holy roller parents to hustle for Jesus and began preaching on the evangelical circuit when he was three years old. Follows Marjoe during his last months of rock-style preaching before his retirement at 28, and includes his comments on life as a con-man and the ethics of his colleagues in the religion business. Also contains the documentary film Thoth, which shines the spotlight on New York City performer Thoth (a.k.a. Stephen Kaufmann) who presents one-man operas on the street. |
