It attempts to show how Sherman Institute, a vocational high school for Indian youth at Riverside, California, is functioning in the lives of its graduates. [...] In brief, the study seeks to show: where the students come from; the tribal selections of vocations; what courses in the school were the popular courses; the graduate's present work compared with his vocational preparation; ages at graduation; number of years in the institution; and the intelligence quotients of the graduates. [...] this study is concerned primarily with the vocational aspects of Indian education, with consideration of certain other factors closely associated with the vocational." |
