| Summary |
The artistic works of Marta Minujín and Luis Felipe Noé occupy a central position in Argentine art from the 1960s to the present day. Lena Geuer critically examines the relationship between art and nation with the question "¿Arte argentino?" and explores the tension between aesthetics, identity, and politics from a postcolonial and sensorial-material perspective. At the same time, "¡Arte argentino!" is also addressed as a statement, causing the genealogy and canon of Eurocentric art history to waver and the visual arts to shift. |
