Identification and natural history of poison ivy and poison oak in Kansas, including some nonpoisonous plants mistaken for poison ivy. Folklore, poisonous properties, and control of these poisonous plants are discussed. Suggestions are offered to avoid contacting poison ivy and commonly employed methods for treatment of poisoning are listed. An illustrated glossary of terms is included.
