As a person looks at the jumble of TV shows starting this fall the mind drifts back to that golden age when old TV cops patrolled the airways. Many were classic shows that are repeated or imitated even toady. Somehow in that age of innocence known as the Fifties, we seem to believe in the ability of those cops to make everything right.
