FoodData Central includes five data types. Two of these types, Foundation Foods and Experimental Foods, provide data that have never been available previously. The three other types are the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies, and the USDA Global Branded Food Products Database.
