A Guatemalan boy named Juan has traveled with his mother to the U.S. border to ask for asylum and protection from the gangs of their village, but the federal government separates him from his mother due to new rules. Juan, however, has been hiding something--he seems to have superpowers, and when he accidentally uses them and breaks free, he must go on the run from the U.S. feds and find out what happened to his mother.
