This work develops, from different fields of knowledge, approaches to certain trends identified as epistemological shifts that have emerged in the social sciences in Latin America and the Caribbean. Using the dialogue, established with the protagonists of these various processes, coming from various countries in the region, views on epistemological ruptures, resistance to academic and universalist positions in the production of knowledge, in addition to the enrichment of the theoretical programs from Feminism, critical epistemologies and social action, of decolonial and environmental thought and the historical-social contexts in which they made their way.
