Summary |
When war transforms life in Afghanistan, an Afghan teen named Baheer's world is changed forever. After 9/11, a young army private and aspiring journalist named Joe is deployed to Afghanistan, and his unit is sent to Baheer's town. Baheer uses the little English he knows to help his family by providing services to the Americans and while Joe doesn't trust any of the locals at first, the two slowly form a tentative friendship and realize they have more in common than they ever could have imagined. |
