Children's labor is neither a relic of bygone times nor of backward societies. With a view to Latin America, Africa and Asia as well as to Europe and Germany, the book sharpens the view of the variety of forms and meanings that work has and can have for children. The author questions ingrained reflexes and supposed certainties and judgments and, based on several studies, shows that previous measures against child labor should be critically examined. |
