The risk of prefacing an analytical and polyphonic book like this one, woven from Afro-descendant voices, is immense. There is no doubt that the work is relevant and destined to be a reference in academic matters and public policy. And, in this context, intense debates emerge in the face of new realities. In the company of this new work, we return to the dialogue on hot topics that inform academic development and political practices in this field. The purpose is to continue the path of marronage de/re/learning, collectively building spaces for reflection and transformation.
