Summary "Hanns Eisler, alien German composer, was investigated by the FBI from 1942 until his deportation by the Immigration and Naturalization Service in 1948. In 1947 Eisler admitted, in testimony before the House Committee on Un-American Activities, to joining the German Communist party in 1926.
