Summary "The role of the gynecologic surgeon, 60J, during the US military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan was one that was an integral part of the team, albeit a unique role. The 60J had the ability, knowledge, and training to focus on readiness, health, and the delivery of care while developing and optimizing their (at times) scarcely available resources. They were utilized in different missions: from the initial invasion with US Army Cavalry and Marines, which was mainly composed of men, and subsequent non-gynecologic trauma cases, to completing strategic humanitarian missions that provided orphaned children with healthcare, clean water, and electricity. This book details the personal stories and lessons learned from 60Js who were deployed during US military operations from 2001-2015 (OIF, OEF, OND)"-- Provided by publisher.
