"Doctor, I have been experiencing short episodes of very severe pains in my cheek. They last perhaps 2 or 3 seconds and at the most 15 seconds, but they are extremely excuruciating (sic). I find that on occasion, brushing my teeth or touching my cheek tends to bring on the pain."
