The Pittsburg Avenue of Flags was organized on March 14, 1972 with Elwood Bath as chairman. The organization is made up of representatives from all veterans groups and their auxiliaries in Pittsburg. Keith Golden, then commander of American Legion Post 64, came up with the idea of all veterans groups participating for better and more help.
