Pittsburg state running back Ed Fairchild was named MIAA Football Offensive player of the week yesterday. Fairchild, a 5-foot-9, 193-pound senior from Chicago, Ill., rushed for 171 yards on 18 carries and scored three touchdowns as No. 10 PSU defeated No. 15 Central Missouri State 37-16, Saturday night.
