This road map outlines the 2011 key goals and strategies of the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative, which was founded based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Hawaii and the U.S. Department of Energy in 2008. Working groups form the core of HCEI: a representation of all of the important constituencies within the State which allow HCEI to create a balanced and locally focused strategy to attain its goal of reaching 70% clean energy by 2030.
