The letters of Massachusettensis, 17 in number and bearing dates Dec. 12, 1774-Apr. 3, 1775, first appeared in the "Massachusetts gazette and post-boy." The first eight were reprinted in New York under title "The present political state of the province of Massachusetts Bay," the present work being merely a reissue with added title-page. At the bottom of p. 86 occurs the note "In the press, and speedily will be pub. a continuation of this work." So far as known this never appeared.
The first complete edition of the letters bore title "Massachusettensis" without imprint [Boston, 1775]
