Summary |
Land managers within the Greater Yellowstone Area (GYA), one of the largest, intact ecosystems in the continental United States, recognize the importance of compiling and understanding agency greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The 10 Federal units within the GYA compile GHG inventories on a unit- and ecosystem-wide level, set goals for GHG mitigation, and identify mitigation strategies for achieving those goals. This paper details the processes, methodologies, challenges, solutions, and lessons learned by the 10 Federal units within the GYA throughout this ongoing effort. |
